Child Safety Week 2025

Child Safety Week 2025

The topic of child safety has always been a driving force behind the design process at BlocOut. With reports of child deaths due to blinds cords increasingly in the news, we have been keen to develop solutions for such a serious issue.

Our engineers strive to develop products that are safe-by-design, providing a range of options in our portfolio that are safe for children. O
ur range of BlocOut blinds offer no-chain options, to help keep curious kids safe. Check them out below.

BlocOut Touch

The extra safe design of the BlocOut Touch means the blind can be opened and closed by hand, meaning no loose cords or chains. This makes it perfect for nurseries and children’s rooms.

BlocOut Plus & Smart

The motorised option offered with the BlocOut Plus blind provides a convenient and safe operation method. With a remote control you can open and close your blackout blinds from across the room.

(The BlocOut Plus has a chain option available, and comes with a P-clip to safely secure the chain to the wall).

BlocOut Smart

With the included Smart Hub, your BlocOut Smart blinds can now be opened and closed using a smartphone app or voice commands through smart home assistants like Alexa or Google Home.

Not only does this blind remove the need for cords, you don't have to keep the remote control within reach. We all know how little hands will want to see what those buttons do!

No matter what BlocOut blind you choose, you can be confident that it has been designed to keep your child safe.
